Well, if you haven't seen my avatar, here's a bigger version. Obviously I was going uphill which always makes it easier. Wheelies on the VIF are definitely a little more tricky than my previous bikes which were much more powerful. I've only done a couple standups and last weekend I started doing sit downs while going through 1st and 2nd gear. All I can say is practice. It will come up although it's more difficult with this bike. FYI, I'm no stunt master, but I can pull off a pretty decent one when need be. One other thing, I only ever do power wheelies. Never mastered the clutch method.

lmao. i dunno. i just got the bike last month, and theres nothing like that in my barn so it was from whoever had it before me. the bike only has 35,000 miles on it, so it sat somewhere for a long time. i still cant do a wheelie but it definitely accelerates a lot faster without that mouse nest....

    Mouse Nest Subthread

as an aside, not to hi-jack the wheelie info seeking forum members, but to educate the mouse infested airbox forum members...

I parked my Honda Civic by my dog's outdoor kennel a few years back and it would not start in the morning. After a groggy morning diagnosis:

opened the hood via the hood lock inside my previously locked car:
    Gas smell - check
    spark arc - check
    banana in tailpipe - negative

I got some starting fluid to see if I could get her to cough... opened the air filter to spray the filter with ether... took the filter out and... the airbox was *full* of ......

    dog food.

Yep, some critter had taken bits of dog food and climbed the intake to store it in the warm airbox for later! Started right up after I removed the dog food.

I don't leave dog food out anymore..... but have unsuccessfully left things folks have knit for me out in the kennel with no luck.

The Vtec can do a power wheely without any real effort as a fast take off can produce one. Never got the wheel up high as it was never a goal, but not hard to see it is attainable. A friend of mine can shift while in a wheely on his cbr. Never tried on e vfr, also have not hit the vtech power band while balancing....also before that kick there is a slight lag in power..it may be alright.....
But wheelies prove little...i'll see round the next corner.

I got a 2007RWB. 15/45 gearing, power commander, O2 eliminators, Gutted cans. Wheelies on demand in first. Just twist the throttle quick at about 25mph and shes up. I'm going to work on 2nd gear now. If I want to accelerate hard in first I just have to lean forward over the gas tank and she only comes up about 6 to 12 inches and gently sets down in time for 2nd gear shift
    . Its AWESOME.
