I was in the middle of a trip from Denver to Dallas, 8 hours in the fuel injection noise that is made when the key is turned did not occur. I had to jump the bike by popping it into gear (2nd or 3rd, not 1st). I had to do this twice, since you must turn the bike off to refuel. Then an hour later the odometer quits along with the computer on the dash. Everything seemed to just freeze. This lasted for about an hour and a half, then just started working again. Since my long haul, things were fie for a bout a month, now when I turn the key the FI makes a funny noise when starting up..... sounds intermittent as apposed to the consistent FI startup noise.
    ANY IDEAS???????????

    Hello,
The same thing happen to me when my R/R failed.

    I had to replace the ,R/R ...gauges ,lights,battery ...etc...and ECU.....Start looking on E-bay...for a R/R and computer.
Azmotor sport's is the best place to get the R/R new from...

Thank you for your help. Have looked at the azmoto website, thank you. I also have found another source of what the problem could relate to.

Seems to be a good check to keep this from happening over and over.
