I recently got a 2001 VFR and I remember my last 5th Gen having both trip A and B.

Trip A resets when you hold the trip button. But a quick press does not do anything

Does the 5th Gen (specifically the 2001) have a trip B? Or am I looking at a broken LCD/Computer?

    Thanks

AFAIK you should indeed have a Trip A and Trip B (my 99 5th gen does). According to the manual the display should switch between A and B just by pressing the Trip button repeatedly, or hold it down to reset whichever is currently displayed.

Yeah I my last Vfr was a 99 too. Could it be a model year thing?

My 01 has an A/B display, if I remember correctly it's not a quick push/release. It's a hold but not long enough that you clear the display.

Thanks for the replies. I held the button for a fraction longer and bam it switched to B.

    Kind of a weird operation.
