Does anyone know how exactly to remove the 3 clips holding the cover in over the battery. I'm not sure if I need a tool or how to unsnap them.

Can't remember, so simple! Make sure you undo the NEG ground lead first, then the positive. If you do it the other way your wrench could touch the frame or ground and cause big problems. (Same for cars!)

No tools needed (unless you have no fingernails) Just pull up the small part and the whole clip will come out. Super simple. Once you pull one out, you'll probably kick yourself for asking before trying it first ;)

As said above . Is there not a page in the manual that describes how to undo clips?

To be fair the page I included does simply show the clips moving vertically out. I'm just being cautious because I've broken things in the past with the "just use more force" approach.
