No I see what you mean,
the pilot screws have stoppers on the end of the screw, and you can only turn them so far before they hit the float bowl, the float bowls have to be removed before you can remove the pilot screws. I quess they do that to make it impossible to mess up the pilot settings.

    BZ/Masonv45,
Ok this weekend went well I checked the charging system and that was good.
Then I moved on to the tank vents, the smaller one was plugged, so I cleaned the tank vents, but still no change. So I removed the carbs again and found the low idle jets were plugged solid with varnish, I continued to tear the carbs down completly and found the choke valves were sticking due to varnish, so each carb was cleaned and gone through with compressed air.
I reassembled them and the bike started right up and runs fine, besides a few idle adjustments it's great. This wed im going to sync the carbs its has a flat spot if you snap the throttle around 2000 rpm so im thinking that will take care of it, with that aside I want to thank you guys for all your help in getting the VFR back to life. I will be on the road soon.
    Thanks again,
    Nate

    Awesome Nate:

In my limited mechanical experience i have found the tank vents clogged, especially when a bike has been sitting fo a long time! Glad you got it going and glad Mason chimed in, he gives good advice on the carb issues!
