Ordering New Pearl White Panniers From Honda - You Can't Get Just One Side :(

I have a Pearl White Gen 8 - 2015 - and had my right side pannier bail off. I thought I had the darn thing
locked in place but apparently not. The bad news is that Honda will not sell just one pannier ... you have to buy
the pair.

Obviously I don't need a new left side so I'm hoping that through this forum, perhaps someone else needs
just the left side and then we can share the cost of the pair and both get what we need without have to take out a
second mortgage

 

Is it physically broken? or can it be repainted?

 

Just buy 2nd hand any colour and get it repainted.

 

It's rashed pretty bad which doesn't really bother me but the person who found it, pried it open to see what was inside and they destroyed the latch. I would be surprised if it was repairable.

 

Good idea ... it doesn't really have to be pearl white. Any ideas where used ones are advertised?

My panniers & bike are sword silver. One of the panniers was cracked & scuffed up so I started looking for a new one. The top box was royal blue & I've also just picked up a cosmic black right pannier. Once you detach the lid from the box they are all the same. Just drill out the two pins, take off the restaints, and paint it the correct colour. It really is that easy.

 

David Silver, excellent as they are, only cater for older designs, I think they found they couldn't make enough price differential from OE to make it worthwhile. In UK they're the go-to place for 5th and 6th gen spares but don't handle the 7th or 8th, unfortunately.

 

Yeah, that's what I noticed too ... somebody posted a pair of pearl white bags from what look like a Gen 8 on the classifieds here on this site but the right bag is rashed and cracked. Plus I think they may be sold but I haven't heard back from the seller yet.

 

With the rate that people are drop[ping their bikes you might find someone on here or VFRD that needs the other side.
