Anyone up to ride through Mt. Rainier this Wednesday

Short notice but is anyone up for a ride through Mt. Rainier this Wednesday? I will leave Kelso about 9am and ride up Hwy.12 and enter the park at the east entrance, just past Packwood. Could meet up anywhere along the way.

 

Short notice and a second post, now where's the intro photo? that outa the way Mt. Rainer has been on my to do, or St.Helens up to Windy ridge. Sounds enticing, yet I need to be back in town by 3pm, so maybe not this time. So you are outa Kelso huh? Bet you hit 202 out to Astoria? Rd 47 to Mist sound familiar?

 

Yes I'm from Kelso. I've taken a few of the backroads to Astoria and ridden through Mist. St. Helens is practically out my backdoor and ridden up there quite a bit. Still lots of summer and fall riding time.

 

Hopefully there is more time and decent weather left for a ride that's more than a local twist . I saw your post on FB. I'll keep an eye out there as well, maybe our paths will cross. since that neck of the woods ain't to far off. Enjoy, and don't forget the photos.

 

I'd be damn tempted to go with ya, but I have an afternoon work party that I can't miss. I was out just going to the gym and back yesterday, and my god it was just perfect riding weather. I expect today will be the same. Have fun!

 

Great day of riding, weather was perfect. Mild traffic and was able to log about 300 miles. I was a little shocked that the fee to get into the park is $20 for a motorcycle. But oh well, it was still worth it. Quite a few bikes out. Talked to a couple guys from the Spokane area. Unfortunately they weren't on VFR's.

 

About as close I ever got, must have been a great ride!

 

$20 huh, Hmm, use to be $5.. remember when it was free too. Damn, I'm getting old.

 

It probably went up when they went to the Discovery Pass crap.

Perhaps a little late to the party. If you are thinking of a weekend trip up there let me know I am 2hrs away from the park and would enjoy the ride.
