Been on here awhile asking questions and telling stories.
Picked up a '84 vf700f from a guy who seemed pretty fond of it but probably would have rather had a Magna. That And he really didn't ride it enough to take care of it.

Anyhow got the Vf to make the 5 am commute to work (only 20 mins) figured it would cost a little less than my '95 BMW 325is to drive, surely will be more fun.

    More later

And yes loving the vf7f , been giving it lots of TLC.

All fresh fluids, oil, forks ,dot 4 all the way around, valves adjusted, new plugs and wires , new signals , cleaning and degreasing as much as possible, new tires, adjusted front fairing under frame, carbs cleaned and jetted. Last few parts are coming in today (except rear tire).
Should be able to get her back together and tuned before the week is out...hopefully.

Just a couple basic pics from when I brought her home, I was able to ride her home . But she did need alot of love , just like a woman who has set neglected and lonely. She was only rode once every few months for years.

As long as I pamper her and make sure she's taken care of she'll be mine forever .....or until I trade her in on a newer more exciting model. ;)

Nice bike! Is my emotional favorite, of all the V-Fours! 360 degree firing order makes it sound like an RC30! Welcome.

Thanks , I want to eventually put a set of fairings on her and maybe some slip-on pipes.
Other than that I am only 5'9" and she is very comfortable to ride.

Thanks for all the support, the 2ND gen bikes got my attention as a preteen. The adult me loves the look and feel of the first gen. Sooooo much better, in my book, than a more modern 250/300 offering. Will probably try to find a 4th gen for my next bike. If not should be plenty of gen 5's around by the time I am ready to park the tariff model 700 and turn it into a pristine vintage example, at least I hope life allows it.
