    Hi gents
Just putting on new chain 530 130 link chain
However under adjustment the wheel adjustment is almost all the way back.
    Surely this can be right?
I could actually cut a link out and have the wheel at the very front of the adjustment?
Seems a bit daft any opinions
    Thanks
    Chris

If you have no adjustment left to take out the slack when the chain wears, then yes, something is very odd. If the wheel is back as far as it will go then this will be the case. I can't think what it might be, other than you actually have an extra link or the sprocket pitch is machined incorrectly. 108 including the split link?

When I did a 17 inch conversion on my 86 I changed the gearing from stock to 15/41. This meant the wheel was too far back so I had to take a link out. I do remember counting the links and 108 is right, not 106. I reckon that's a typo in the DID chart.
