Want to get a shock, go to http://earthquaketrack.com , set it for your location. We have had 588 earthquakes so far this year!

The front wheel stop on the HF table is pretty worthless, but you can pick up their cheapo locking chock and bolt it to the table and you're good to go. As far as the table being an inconvenience, there's a reason you won't find a motorcycle shop without some kind of lifting table. If you've had to do much work on a bike you'd no longer look at them as an inconvenience. I wouldn't be without mine.

Probably more than that. I have two earthquake apps on my phone, i had to set them to no Notification, it would wake me up all night.

I bought an ATV lift a few years ago to work on mine. It sucks big time for working on our bikes. But I do make good use of it for other reasons. The bike is far too unstable sitting on that lift. If you were to put any type of force on a stiff bolt while up on that type of lift, it would likely topple over. Also, the lift contacts the underside of the farings so you risk damaging the plastics.

I was going to get one of those platform motorcycle lifts from Harbour Freight but after reading some comments here, maybe I should re-think that idea. I was impressed with Jeff's lift though. Some day when I get a raise in my welfare maybe.

I don't remove rear wheel, I would use the center stand if I really had too. I use my setup to change oil-works perfect for that.

On my gen 2's I've got a method that works fine. Use the scissors jack under the mounts for centerstand, and lift the rear wheel 4-5". Then set the stand, wood blocks, cinder block or whatever under the engine toward the front. When you lower the jack so the rear wheel is about 2-3" off the floor, the front end will rise, and both wheels will be up !!

Do your heavy un-torquing before the bike goes up, and lean the bike very slightly toward a wall or find something to strap the frame to.
