I often wondered about this and never got around to tinkering with it. I'll have to look and see if I still have my tensioners that I replaced with manuals.

To many steps. I like how he starts the video and stops and says to cut. Then starts over but does not edit the video before posting. But then who am I ... A critic ?
Drilling the gasket is to allow more oil flow, but Honda must of used the smaller hole in the gasket as a restriction orifice to restrict the flow of oil to the tensioner. Enlarging the hole in the gasket is allowing more oil flow to get to the tensioner, I guess because of where on the guides and chain.
    Interesting.

Well that's another positive for 5 Gen, no cam chain tensioners to worry about! Although my 6 Gen has 52k at the moment but I have not noticed any CCT noises or issues. I'm going to book mark this video. Thanks Lint.
