Nothing better than the traditional Honda RWB colours IMHO.

I would leave well enough alone - freshen up the bike as it is. No need to sink a shit tonne of money into it. Ride it like it's meant to be ridden - if you dump a bunch of money into it, all you'll want to do is park it in the garage and stare at it out of fear of all that money slowly going to waste with all the new dings and dents you'll accumulate.

    Hello everyone,
Hellapet and everyone else, you all are 100% correct. I think stock is what should happen, but with the pearl white instead of the stock white. And if I might add with me being 54 well my crazy days should be going away lol

You would not believe how much i have in it so far, i have wished for a long time that I had never started any of this, I guess Thats why I left it in boxes because I am afraid to ride it in fear of something happening to it, but I am not one to live in fear of anything so I made my mind up to put it back together and ride it.

Thank you everyone for your input it is completely appreciated

Stock colours will always make the bike worth more than Aftermarket.

Ok I decided on the colors, pearl white with silver ghost flames on the lower half but very light.
Now one more question, while I am doing all this I want to incorporate some electronics in the bike for me to enjoy, so I was thinking of something like the gage cluster from a newer vfr ? I will do all the wiring myself (not a problem for me) I might add some electronics to the engine, crank sensor for the tach, maybe use the harness also. I need to look at some newer gage clusters to see what I prefer ?

I also want to add a tank bag and a trunk ( not sure thats the correct name for it) but I want something to stuff my things in, what do you find works good for you on your bikes ? Like tank bag and a trunk over the rear of the seat ? Thanks

Defending the code of uniformity, I think the 2017 official calendar pix should be all RW&B stockers.

I am thinking stock RWB paint scheme plus some pearl mixed in will be really nice.

I don't think speed knows what to do at this point. Maybe a chrome dipstick would be nice to go with the frame, or some of those red tires.

I'm late to the dance but generally speaking, if a bike has a "scheme" and is a respected model as yours is, it is a good idea to go stock. If the bike is like the other VFR gens and is a solid colour, then it was more of a blank canvass to work with. Red white and blue doesn't get me as teary-eyed as some of you  but no one can deny that they are colours that are so great together.

I like your plan. Stock is worth a lot when it comes time to sell, but I have always liked the solid white VFRs.
