So here I am, new to the forum and new to the world of VFR's. I have been riding for a while now and had several different bikes over the years but this is my first VFR. so what do I have you ask, well I have a 1994 VFR 750 that I am getting back to scratch. it hasn't been ridden in 4 years and left to rot in a carpark before I picked it up. ill be making a few mods along the way and will be making it my own. ill ad some pictures so you can see what I am dealing with. I certainly will be asking some questions and researching the forum for all sorts of info. Cheers Skip
Congratulations on your acquisition, Skippy. You get extra newbie points for including photos, and extra extra points for orienting the photos as you did so one is the right way up for us in the Southern Hemisphere, the second for the Northern folks, and the last one for those who are so inclined. Four years of weather exposure will have been tough on all the rubber bits, and I'm guessing you will become very familiar with the insides of the carbs and fuel tank. Still nothing that elbow grease, a credit card and internet shopping can't fix. Lots of friendly folks with a range of fix-it-up experience are out here, and will gladly provide suggestions of how to spend your money and time!
:welcome: to the world She looks so sad :sorrow: Be sure to post pics as you deconstruct and resurrect, we like pics!! Looking forward to seeing her pretty again.
:welcome: to the madness  :thumb: Bonus point for including the photos. Glad to see you bring the ole girl back to life arty2:
Wow, Nice start having photos, props to you. Talk about bringing life back from the dead. That said. good for you, and welcome to the site of crazy VFR lovers.
Congrats! Are you thinking of restoring back to original condition or are you thinking more along the lines of streetfighter? Take a look at the thread below for inspiration if you decide on the streetfighter look. Seb's streetfighter is simply stunning! His project was a 94 model which is the same generation VFR as yours (4th Gen: 1994-1997) http://vfrworld.com/forums/showthread.php/48985-1996-Streetfighter Rollin
Looks like you have your work cut out for you Skip. Have you attempted a restoration/resurrection before, and I'm curious (hope you don't mind) what a bike in that condition cost you?
