So, before you committed to the VFR, what was your other consideration for your bike choice?

I'm in the process of selling my '09 DRZ400SM with the sole intention of buying a gen6 VFR. After weighing all my requirements, it came down to the SV1000 and the VFR. So far, it's the VFR that wins for my next bike of choice when considering reliability, cost, long distance comfort and performance.

    Thoughts?

My second choice was a Daytona 675R. But Mrs. 01ragtop liked to ride sometimes so the 8th Gen won out. 2 months after I bought the VFR, she was pregnant and hasn't ridden since. Don't regret the VFR though. It can still hang with the sportbikes on the street.

Until I bought mine, in the crate, I was a motorcycle virgin. I had no idea. I was buying for a purpose. My commute in the truck was killing me. I kinda looked at a Ninja but when speaking to the salesman, and explaining my situation, he suggested the VFR. The Ninja they had was a 600 I think. He told me that that bike would just never hold up to what I was expecting from a bike. He couldn't have been more on the mark. I'm about to roll the odo for the second time in KM.

When I was buying my VFR the new CB900 Hornet was beside it. I looked at it for a minute and then bought the VFR. Good choice, I think

e\Easy, Aprilia Tuono rsv4 that is, there's also the SXV lurking in this as well. Thing is, there's no getting around just how great the VFR is...

Kawasaki Ninja 1000. Similar bike and price. I choose 8th gen VFR because it's more beautiful and sounds better.

Wanted an 83 CB900F after seeing some nicely modified ones, and noting that they have a robust aftermarket. But as my first bike it would likely be too much at 100hp and over 500lbs. After deciding on a VF500F, I don't know that I can handle such a large bike as the CB900. I feel like my torso is almost too short for the VF. Maybe someday.
