Enjoyed a nice cool ride to work and contacted a reputable body shop regarding some cosmetic fixes to JOLENE. Small tank dent repair and some minor plastic repair. May get her painted too...

I showed those cagers on the road what it looks like to go above 10MPH on the freeway. Got a first hand look at what happens when two vehicles try and occupy the same lane! Made it to my first stop on time though. That was on the way to my project, on the way home I got to show the folks going in the other direction the same thing, except it was a lot warmer out. Thank God I was moving air through my textile gear, it was damn near 100F and going between the cars seemed much warmer at times! Come to think of it, if I had caged it, I'd still be on the freeway! I love my VFR

Just completed 7 hours of riding. Stopped for the night at a local KOA. Tomorrow finish the trip to my accident site in WI.

I love how the VFR destroys asphalt and concrete in style and comfort.

Removed my snorkel and disconnected the flapper. Anyone else underwhelmed by these mods. Feels a little smoother at the throttle I guess, but the intake noise seems more annoying than awesome. Haven't done the pair mod yet. Is it worth it?

It does actually increase the overall output of the engine and removes a little of the snatchy low end throttle issues.

I think there's some value in it for how short it takes.

PAIR valve removal is worth getting rid of 5 lbs of uselessness. But that is me.

Sprayed some Motorex Strong (the best chain lube) on the chain very lightly and letting it and the streets dry before another epic journey into the counties and mountains around here. Somebody has to do it.

Took the wife on the back of the 09 and rode with Scublong and his wife to Malibu for breakfast. Then had a nice cruise though the canyons and ridge roads of the Santa Monica mountains.

Once I got back home I took the opportunity to flush/fill and bleed the clutch and brake lines. Kind of felt it was over due and after Scubalong telling me that his rear brake really needed it done, figured I do mine while I waited for him to come over so we could get his rear brake done. Speed bleeders rule BTW.

I got the red 02 VFR out and rode it for 12 miles! No kidding. Just 12 miles but I'll take a ride of any length. My wife and I have been moving the last of my parents furniture into storage. My mom lost her sight and has now joined my dad in the nursing home. My wife and I packed up all her books, knickknacks, belongings and furniture, rented a truck and put it in our storage lockup. It all fit but just. It has left very little time to ride and I was actually surprised that I could ride after hauling furniture around in appalling heat.

Lessons I learned from this weekend's work 1) don't put things off. 2) if you don't do things because you are too tired, the day is coming when you really will be too tired. 3) don't collect junk! 4) If you are going to leave your kids something make sure that they want it. 5) If you are going to leave your kids something make sure is worth a lot of money and it very small and portable. (Think something cool on Antiques Road Show.) 6) Be kind to your under achieving child. He/she my just be the one looking after you in your old age. 7) Buy gifts for you aging parents with the expectation of getting it back, still in it’s original box.

Spent 45 minutes of my hour lunch break heading to a 24 hour donut shop downtown. Pretty fun cruising around on the dead empty streets. Normally i hate the interstate stuff, but sort of nice seeing them in a new light, or lack there of i guess.

Almost like my tail bag was designed for this donut box. I will definitely be going back in the future.
