I only dive now on a rebreather or dual rebreather & like to keep a clear head at all times. As I mix all my own gases I can dive on what ever I want... lol

Does your re-breather adapt to the PPO2??

    How does that work?

I set the ppo2... Normally 1.3 for most of the dive, although will occasionally push it to 1.5 depending on the dive requirements... Sometimes it's not that great an idea to have too many free radicals floating around inside...
Start dive at .7, on way down change to 1.3, leave it there until I've finished deco then set it back to .7. Been diving rebreathers since 2004.

Very cool man ... I'd love to get certified for re-breather.

It's a totally different style of diving from single cylinder diving.. In fact I'd hazard to say it's like riding & driving. Not everyone who can drive can ride. Sure, they may go through the motions but the reality is that a lot are just passengers.
It takes a lot of practice to be able to deal with problems safely and be able to get back to the surface without being bent. For me the most dangerous dives are the 0-15m (45ft) practice dives. A rebreather really comes into its own at the 25 - 70m range but these quickly become multi hour dives & I promise you - you feel it.

Yup, pretty much confirmed what I've heard ... I'm pretty technical and detail oriented. I'd love to give it a shot some day.

I commend you in diving a rebreather..... We only use it at depths deeper than 500' and we only use a rebreather as an emergency breathing alternative. Usually just to get back to our diving bell. Thankfully Ive never had to go on emergency bailout bottle. When we do the deeper work or saturation diving we usually breath a .5-.7. Of course as a knuckle dragging diver we have other persons mix and monitor our gasses. I do know how to do the math on depth=ppo2 and do the surface equivalent but thats about the extent that I need to pay attention too. Dive safe and have fun.
