Lot of crashes in practices but surprisingly not too many in the race, at least when compared to Assen. Ultimately the winner got a well deserved 1st place, in the words of Nick Harris..."It was a master stroke..."

Crazy the difference between slicks and wet tires. Over 7secs a lap faster on slicks in the dry line. Big gamble paid off even bigger for the race winner.

Yamaha and Valentino really blew it again. Just like in Italy when they stayed out for three more laps and blew the race. Cal was on fire and had the race for sure.

Not sure I'd agree, surely MM backed off once he knew he'd won. He had a 20 second lead at one point, why take chances. Not taking anything away from CC, but give MM and his team credit they gambled big and won.

Crutchlow made the same choice in tires for his second machine that MM did, so pretty much the same risk, plus he went on to pass Redding, Dovi and get the fastest lap award, so can't discount him at all. MM Did one hell of a race though, I thought for sure he blew it when he went off the track, but seeing him keep it upright and rejoin the race, I then figured mid pack place for sure...glad I was wrong.

Yep, this was VR's decision and looking at his pit crew's reaction when he he didn't come in for at least 2 laps, they weren't feeling to good about it!

Yes, but don't forget MM was the first to make the move to full slicks with 13 laps to go, Crutchlow's crew had the advantage of seeing MM run 6 laps before they finally made the move with 7 laps remaining. In those 6 laps MM was running 5-7 seconds faster/lap and went from 14th to 6th.

Yeah, that was a weird race, for sure. MM smoked them and he and Honda made an excellent choice. I don't know what 46 was thinking.

I should have said it was 46's fault which it was do to his choice, was just linking it to when he and Yamaha both made the same bad decision in Italy. This one was all on Rossi. His pit crew must have been going nuts for those 3 laps. The last 2 races have pretty much sealed his fate this year.
MM not going down in the gravel was amazing. Dirt biking a GP bike.

Don't get me wrong I'm not arguing about it, I'm just saying that CC did a phenomenal job and should be given credit for his accomplishment. Did you see the parc ferme interview with Crutchlow? The post race press conference too? He's a pretty funny guy.

Yes, saw them both, and agree he has a sense of humor. His comment in the presser about MM getting lucky again was great. Hats off to him, he did a great race.

It'd be cool to see him catch a factory ride someday.

You're right, he started at 14, the same position MM was in with only 13 laps remaining. So I fail to see your point.
