Ah, got it now, strange how the viemo would not work yesterday.

Guy with the lobster taught me to dive back in 2001, ten miutes in a pool then dived the next day. He was 70 in this video, will be 72 this year.

Weird, I've set it to public. So it does not play in the post?

Showing as public on my you tube account, have reposted the link.

Got PADI certified in 1986 at Lighthouse Diving in Seattle. Dove every weekend that summer.

On our first dive buy ourselves at Alki, we spotted a small wooden wreck in 35' of water. It was pretty far gone. I looked down through the silt and thought I saw a toilet seat. I picked it up to show my wife and it turned out to be a porthole. A BRASS porthole!

Told my instructor Mark about it. His eye's got big and say's "nobody finds a brass porthole, let alone on their first dive."

Something even cooler- we went back a year later and most of the wreck was gone. But there in the mud, was the wingnut for the porthole. I shit you not.

First dive of the holiday yesterday, nice easy 25mts to get back into it. One lion fish despatched.
Using my new Suunto Eon steel for the first time, great piece of kit.

Damn lionfish. I got laughed at when I spotted one in the Bahamas/Exumas 10 years ago ... they thought I was pranking them ... now they're a plague!

Lion fish so over populated in Mexico they eat all the fish so the local advised us to take them out :)

    Yah, they are incredibly invasive.

They mostly came here in boat bilge water I think.

Lion fish are a plague down here too. This year you can take 1 extra lobster if you have a dead lion fish too. FWC is talking about making this permanent until they are under control, but I think they will be out of control forever now. They supposedly got here from stupid people letting them go from their aquariums.
