I have a 1985 VF700F and I want to know why there are two hoses from the back of the crankcase that go to the Breather/Separator. I am considering upgrading that system to a positive crankcase ventilation system. I want to put an air filter on one of the hoses in question, and put a PCV valve inline with the other hose and run it to the airbox, eliminating the Breather/Separator. Any information would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks Allyance!

Guess it's just as simple as I thought. Just concerned that maybe the crankcase was divided in half internally, hence the two hoses that go to the breather/separator. I'll go ahead with my PCV mod.

Helping someone else I discovered the diagram wasn't complete. There two hoses coming out of the engine and one going to the air cleaner. One hose comes from the crankcase and one comes from the transmission. [IMG]

Third large tube exits bottom to transmission
