Got these with my 84 parts bike

    Anyone know anything about these exhausts? I got them with my 84 parts bike.

    Hard to say. Factory pipes should have some kind of stamping on the them. Most aftermarket pipes from those days had the the makers tag riveted to the muffler. So there might be a couple of small holes facing outboard on the muffler. Vance & Hines had a set of pipes that resemble those but there should be rivets on the ends.     Pics of the end caps may help ID them.

    I havent found anything on the pipes to lead me towards who made them. Or if they were even made for the 1st gen 500's.
    Have looked online, but no leads there either

    Can you remove end caps and repack? Due to the rarity of aftermarket pipes for the old bikes, might be worth cleaning them up and having them ceramic coated.

    No, i doesnt look like the end comes off. I will probably just blast and paint them. If i can find out what make they are, then i will probably sell them.

    Looks like stock VF1000R pipes with the end cap removed to me.

    Brackets are wrong and in the wrong place for 1000R.
