I can't seem to find a diagram of the fuel hose routing for the fuel pump on a 86 VFR700. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Well, one goes from the outlet on the tank to the inlet on the pump. The delivery line from the pump goes from the outlet and directly up to the little plastic T that feeds the lines for the carbs (on my 86, there's a little tab tacked on to the frame to hold the line in place.) It's a straight shot both ways. Nothing complicated or special.

And I'm not trying to be an ass. It really is just that easy.

Oh yes, very simple I have done my share of them. BUT...what is the inlet and outlet of the pump. It is a stock pump. There is no labeling on the pump and I can't remember which one feeds the carbs. It has been a been a few since my last VFR restoration. You can hook them up backwards. Simply put is the out to the carb the inboard or outboard tube of the pump ;-)

Relatively sure it's gonna be the outboard side. Just hook it up and put power to it with the lines in a can and lift one out at a time. Should be clear soon enough.

By mouth, you can blow air into the input side but can't blow into the output side.--
