The Japanese will do what they typically do very well. Adapt! Remember in 1986 when Honda had Magnas, Sabres, Interceptors, & Shadows in 500cc (except Sabre), 700cc, 750cc & 1000cc or 1100cc (Magnas & Sabres)? There was almost 25 +/- models to choose from. Then in 1987 the vast majority of those models went away. The circumstances may be different but with fewer models Honda was able to focus better on the remaining models. The bikes got better. A few short years later the CBR900RR dropped & the motorcycle world wasn't quite the same. Then came the seemingly never ending game of one-upmanship. Now we have nearly 200hp street legal motorcycles. I think this is just the normal cycle of the market. The 600's have reached their evolutionary peak. If true Honda killing the 600 to hopefully (fingers crossed) give us something better isn't a bad thing.
