You guys dig my new chainguard? Imported from Deutschland, and airbrushed in San Diego (didn't like the stock aluminum color, it didn't match).

Check out the purty pics...ok, maybe a couple extra pics were thrown in by accident!

    Very nice. Expensive I'll bet.

Can you still mount your luggage with that high pipe?

Actually, the luggage clears perfectly with the high-mount exhaust. I will take some pics of her with the luggage on (black Italian Givi hardbags). Perfecto fit! I had the old girl loaded down with beer & chips for a party on the 4th!

The chainguard was around $103 with shipping (shipping was about 40 bucks) I think. Then a friend of mine took it to a powdercoater for $20 bucks. Sorry, I meant to say powdercoating the first time, NOT airbrushing.

How sad, only one person likey my new chainguard.... :pout: :caked:

That's ok though, I think the drive side of my bike looks 10 times better now. Not to mention it still has good coverage of the chain, unlike those little shorty ones.

I priced one yesterday. $130 USD and $60 to ship it!

I think for $190 I could machine one from billet aluminum.

I do like the look, but not at those dollars.

Check out this one. Looks like they raised the price. Got mine for 63-65 bucks. However, this one is listed for $79.00 US. My shipping was around 42-43 something bucks I believe. Might put you in the 120-130 dollar range total. I think they used DHL to ship.

I like the way the chain is more visible on top, while it is still protected. Cool stuff there.

Thought I'd resurrect this thread given how weak the Euro is right now versus the dollar. I emailed them to confirm pricing, will update when I hear back. Given the current exchange rate, however, and the price on their website, it should be $76 plus shipping. Alternatively, you could wait and see if the UK really leaves the EU, cause when they file the title 50, both currencies will probably tank even more. Bad for our friends across the pond, but good for those of us that appreciate the outstanding quality of German products!
