    Hello
About a month ago I sold my 2010 Harley roadglide custom and bought a 2010 vfr1200 standard much to the disbelief of the Harley crowd lol. The bike only has 1400km on it and it has been doing some weird stuff.

    1. When I first start thi bike I have to let it idle for 2-3 minutes or else the bike will die as soon as I click into first before I even start to release the clutch?

    2. While I'm riding I can go 1-6 and 6-2 no problems at however going from 2-1 the bike will go into neutral and not give me first even at a full stop sometimes I can't get any gears just the - sign on the gear indicator.

Are these common problems or is the clutch possibly screwed up from not being ridden?

    Any input is greatly appreciated

I wonder if on this barely used bike the clutch cable needs adjustment.

1400 km in 6 years is a very small amount, and suggests the bike could have gone years without being ridden, and possibly very substantial amounts of time without being turned on. Personally, I'd have a professional give the bike a thorough once over.

Fuel system may have some residue if stabilizer was not put in it before storing for so long - that could be a part of your throttle issues.

What are you running for oil? My transmission on my VFR800 is clunky with certain oils and will sometimes give me grief getting back into 1st ... the bike likes the oil I run now, smooth as a baby's ass!

I was thinking about putting some sea foam through it.
