    Greetings,
    I'm on my way to do a starter valve synch and I notice a hose under the tank on the left side of the bike (sitting on the bike) that is unattached and free;
    it looks like it merely drains out to the bottom of the bike. I looked in the manual and could not find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    That looks like it might be the fuel tank filler overflow hose. In addition to the high pressure fuel hose and return, there will be two other hoses attached to the underside of the tank, a small one which is an air vent (maybe connected to a evap canister in the US) and the larger one which is the overflow for the fuel filler area.

    Yep, that's what it is, the fuel tank filler overflow , thank you!
    Starter Valve Synch went well too, dials all line up and the throttle response is solid...
