    Hello,

Just wanted to get some opinions/info on some aftermarket pipes for my 85 VF500.

The stock ones are a little too quiet for my liking.

If you can throw some names of some pipes and where etc. that would be much appreciated!

    Cheers

There aint any decent ones any more I am afraid.
Manufacture of the bike finished in 1986 so the aftermarket exhaust companies stopped making pipes for the VF years ago.
    Your best bet is Ebay,

Pretty much what jeremyr62 said. There wasn't many to choose from back when the bike was in production. Cobra F1R, Supertrapp, Kerker & maybe Yosihmura. Unless your willing to do something custom keep your eyes on ebay or local salvage yards.

Stay away from "F-1" cans as they're raspy, tinny, and cheap-ass-sounding crap.

Pretty much the same boat. I think there were a few more options for the 750's back in the day. The 750's were used for various types of racing so there might be some full systems out there. But it would literally be like finding buried treasure. Keep checking ebay, craigslists, salvage yards etc. Theres been some folks that have done some pretty impressive home made exhaust systems here. So if your feeling ambitious get a welder & tube bender.

There is one for sale for a 750, it's a Kerker and he wants $100 CAD so cheap for USD. However he is in Ontario and would have to ship it. I saw the ad on Kijiji (Ontario).

Let me know if you need more info.
