NewbI to a vfr

Hello everyone!,

Just wanted to say hi as I am a new member here
Im from milton ,ontario and I just purchased a 2006 pearl vfr 800 and I love it.
I came from riding a honda f4i 600 so my back is thanking me now on my new bike.

Now I know why all the vfr owners I came across over the years spoke so highly and had great pride for the vfr.

This thing kicks major a#$.

Anyway, that's all.

"pearl".....Is it white? Colors differ by country so we don't always share the same options.

 

The 2006 vfr comes in a pearl white option. I beleive it's called pearl sunbeam white but not 100%certain.
I'll post some pics. (Still figuring out how to do that on here lol):smile-new:

Glad you loved it. The only problem with owning a motorcycle here is that you develop this weird motorcycle withdrawal symptom come winter time. The kind where your friends catch you wearing your leathers in the house watching tv and you are trying to explain to them that you are trying to keep the leather from going stiff in the closet.But on the positive side, at least it gives us time to work on the bike if need be.

Welcome to the site. What is this Icehouse you speak of? never heard of it. What time on Sunday morning do people usually meet there?

 

The Icehouse is a little gas station/restaurant that is located just south of the 401 in Campbellville. that road that its on is Guelph line if you are coming up from burlington but it turns into Main St. while in the town. Zombie, if you came across the 401 you would just be looking for the Campbellville exit, or if you came east on one of the side roads north of the 401 you would just turn down(right) on Guelph line. I think some of the older crown on Vintage stuff start showing up aroun 8;30 or so but there are all sorts and styles of bikes in and out of there all day long

Its a 2006 pearl white vfr. I purchased it with only 17500 kms, from an older gentleman who just didn't have much time to ride. It's fully stock except that he had a shop gut the stock exhaust and put in a kn filter. Sounds like a v8 lol.

 

I'd like to hear how it sounds as I was planning on doing that to mine.

 

We should get together and go for a ride..id be curious to hear a gutted stock exhaust in person also

 

Yea for sure!! This long weekend us a bit busy for me but I'll let you guys know. Zombie, where you on hwy 24 this weekend just north of Rockwood? I might of saw you while I was visiting my parents on 6th line. You were heading back into guelph?

 

I was briefly on 24 on my way from Guelph to the Guelph line at about 7 am. Did a quick ride to Campleville then over to hwy 6 for breakfast in Aberfoyle then home by 9:15.
I was with a friend and he didn't understand when I told him to keep going south of Campbleville to hit the semi twistys in the hills and he went west at the first lights then parallel to the 401. I thought he knew of some better roads but realized the error too late as we got to hwy 6. Good breakfast and a decent ride anyway.
Having a family I find it easier to arrange to go for rides early Sat or Sun mornings. I can ride, have a good breakfast and be home 9:30 - 10 ish before the rest of them are usually even up. If we try to plan something for the afternoon or the evening it seems that life usually gets in the way and I get busy with other stuff.
