Just got back from a trip from LA to AZ and back. I noticed that my front brakes are dragging. After getting home I turned the bike off and rolled it forward in neutral and the brake shoes are absolutely making constant light contact with the rotor 100% of the time. Is this an adjustment issue? Alignment? Is it easily fixable? It sounds like both the front right and left are dragging.

Probably the return hole is starting to block in the master cylinder, needs to be flushed out and the hole cleaned

The other likely culprits for dragging brakes are corrosion on the sliding pins (fixed by removing the calipers, cleaning off corrosion and regreasing the sliding pins) or a buildup of dirt on the pistons that is stopping them retracting easily. Remove one caliper at a time, lightly pump the pistons out a little (not too far!) and clean back to shiny metal using a toothbrush or scotchbrite pad, rinse off with brake cleaner, then push the pistons back in. They should move smoothly with firm thumb pressure.

Panda, I should add that pads dragging on discs is normal. Pads binding on the disc are not. With the front end elevated, with a hard spin you should get a couple of full rotations before the wheel comes to a stop.

Ah! ok, then I may be experiencing normal operation. I wouldn't say they are binding but just ever so slightly touching. Ill try the free spin test though.

Got it up on the center stand and had the wife sit on the back to get the front up. Sure enough it had a couple rotations on a spin. No problem!
