Points for creativity, but, yeah that thing is really, really fugly. It could have been kinda neat if he'd paid more attention to doing it right, but mostly it looks like something that would be parked out in front of Walmart in one of the handicapped spots.

Don't you people need an engineers report done on stuff like this. They would just laugh at you out here if you turned up with it and tell you to piss off.

Engineers report? You mean a gov vehicle inspection? Lots slide by by just keeping the title under the bike as if it has not changed. Plenty of trikes around, so as long as it has all of the turn signals, brake lights, headlights, and looks roadworthy, etc, you'll prolly slip by under the radar.

No, you see crap like this all the time. The good news is most of these builders can't make their creations run very far. I do see your point. I look at all the homemade trike builds and wonder who calculated the load on the head bearings?

We have very strict rules about any modification to any vehicle. Before the modification the design needs to be discussed with an engineer registered to do the inspection on that type of vehicle, car, truck, bike etc. As the modifications are being done the engineer must inspect each part of the process and he will designate at what stages he wants to inspect. In the end he has to sign off the paperwork and once you have his report in your hand it needs to be taken to the place doing the roadworthy inspection. They then issue a roadworthy certificate ( inspection to ensure lights, brakes steering, suspension, etc comply)that then has to be presented to the registration department along with the engineers report before it can be registered. Sure we occasionally see a vehicle on the road that might look a bit dodgy but it doesn't take long for the police or the roads department to put them off the road

Interesting. Inspecting each part of the process, not just the finished project. First they take away your gun, then they come back and take away the fun!

If we followed your Aussie rules, prolly 50% of the cars and bikes would have to come off the road.

Thing is the system works, and everybody abides by it, well most do but a few older vehicles have been able to sneak into the system using our club reg scheme for +25 year old vehicles, like small cars with Chevs stuck in them but the usually don't hit the road that often. As for our gun laws it seems the only people concerned about it is Americans, we never even give guns a second thought, it is only the baddies that have guns here and they usually only shoot each other up which is a good thing and that stops the taxpayer from having to pay huge amounts of money to keep them locked up

That would have to be the dummest, most fugly and stupid looking idea I have ever seen.
This is why we have rules, to stop these sort of death traps from driving on the road and possibly hurting an inocent bystander.
It looks like it's a bike frame fron who knows what, attached to the front of a front wheel drive car, which is being used to drive the now rear wheels.
    WTF?
Looks like a third world contraption. I think I've seen better engineering in Thailand and Vietnam.

And I have to agree woth Norm here, it looks like the right for everyone to have guns in the US is really working for you guys.
How many children were killed by people with the right to have a gun in your country the last few years?
    I'm just saying.

These sort of hyper rules work great in some instances. The trike posted is an example. Maybe that's why its parked..;)

If in another universe these rules were applied to bikes and cars in the US when dudes started modifying their rides. We'd sure have some boring shit to go to Walmart on or maybe even MotoGP at the double nickel.

One example from the 1920s The 8valve Rajo head for the Ford Model T was likely in production as early as 1908:

I do like the idea of the bad guys thinning the herd..

Sometimes true freedom means having the freedom to endanger yourself. I hate this kind of monstrosity but I will stand on the side that permits this kind of creativity and passion.

I try to keep on open mind in all aspects of life, personality and individual tastes. With that being said, please excuse me while I poke my eyes with a red crayon.

I think, even though it is hard to tell, that the passenger is a woman. I think you will also find that this contraption is UK born since it is sporting a Welsh flag. Generally speaking, the head gear is not American. Americans prefer dew rags or horned viking helmets!
