Sorry, dumb 5th gen owner's question, but which valves are the VTEC ones? I looked very quickly at the manual and VTEC valves are I think the inner inlets and the outer exhausts.

Clearances should be 0.2mm +/- 0.03 on inlet and 0.35mm +/-0.03mm on exhaust, or 0.008 and 0.013 of those imperial doohickeys.

Cad - I think you're correct. I'd need to look at the manual again to verify, but it is out in the garage and it is raining (it's a detached garage) ... so ... I ain't going out there right now. LOL

Took me a while to figure out what NVM meant (cause I'm neither hip, nor down with the kids). Looked it up here:

    http://www.acronymfinder.com/NVM.html

I think I'll start using that for all my posts, in my case it will stand for Not Very Mature.

Man, I thought you Canadians were made of stronger stuff than that Jeff.

I have all my service manuals in pdf form so I can read them whilst wearing a robe and slippers.

    NVM.

Haha ... we are, I was riding in the pouring rain all day and loved every minute of it. Now I'm tired and need my nap. ;)

I hate to be the asshole in the room but this is a project to do both heads, many pitfalls and not for the weak of heart. I have previously stated I would rather crash the bike and collect the insurance money before doing it again.

    I stand by that statement.

I was on the wrong valves in that pic, when I looked at the diagram originally I misunderstood it. Anyways I went through my non vtec valves only, I didn't want to pull the cams and make shims etc tonight.
