Fuuuuudge. I so want to go to that Keith Code Superbike School.

I just need to convince the wife we need to go to California for a week vacation and that the school is part of my vacation - and will make me a better / safer rider. :D

Jeff, I don't know if it's any closer but they're coming to Seattle ("The Ridge" at Shelton)

The way I'm looking at it is, if I do all the brakes, struts and shocks on my wife's car... it will more than pay for it.

Yah, I was looking at the site the other day and saw they'll be there ... it would be a bit closer. Need to figure out how to pitch that to the wife. LOL!

I'd run their bike. Save the wear and tear and tires on my ride. What you learn on the BMW directly transfers to your ride.

Yah, I think I would ride a bike they provide.

No need to put wear and tear on my own bike.

Although I did the CSBS way back when my Duc was just a duckling, I'm thinking I want to do it again but this time using their macinery. At the time I did the class, they were using Ninja 600's I believe, I chose to ride my Duc as the class was a gift from one of my clients I helped through a rough time in his business and figured too much to ask him to pay for the additional fee. I suppose I could have covered the difference but I wanted to get to know more about riding and my bike at the same time.

If I were to do it again, I'm thinking I would do the 2 day course held up at Laguna Seca!

Not to hijack this Tuono thread but I was struck by the I have "ridden nearly $100,000 worth of motorcycles" comment. A buddy once let me ride his Vincent Series D Rapide. It was worth more than I made in a year. (maybe 2 years.) It was interesting but only good for well healed owners or for people that need to have their bikes fawned over. My VFR is just perfect because I like to ride. I like to look at it too but mostly when it's pulled up in a mountain turn out with my bags strapped across her rear. The VFR is made to go places and all for under $3000.

You are correct but the Commando, like the Rapide, is a narrow purpose ride. It's good for pleasant Sunday afternoons and not so good for high speed blasts across town. The VFR is the Swiss Arm Knife of bikes! I can even get ti wet!

For SOW we should clarify that the Commando in question is a motorcycle, not some dude all dressed up like one of the village people.

Do it! It will make you a better and safer rider and is well worth the investment. You get to have tons of run riding around a race track and improving your skills the entire time :) I'll be coaching that series of schools as well! would love to see you there.

Yes, July 11-14 CSS will be at the Ridge which is an awesome track!!

Just tell her that it will improve your riding skills and make you a better, safer rider on the street. The skills you learn from riding schools can literally save your life on the road so it's a great investment.

Agree. It's nice to show up and ride and not have to worry about gas, tires or wear and tear on your own bike. The BMW's are AMAZING and like he said, what you learn on them will transfer directly to whatever you ride so why not take one for a test spin :)

Let me know if you have any other questions about CSS- I'm heading off to Barber Motorsports park in 2 days to coach with the school there. Looking forward to it as I haven't ridden that track in 8 years!
