What are the correct Buell foot peg part numbers that are so common on the VFRs. I ask because I failed by ordering a aftermarket set for a XB9R. The set had a 40mm drop and is adjustable however it's from a cheap Chinese company and is just poor quality.

After a little searching I am getting mixed numbers and some people saying that you don't have to shave any thing to fit and others saying you do.

They certainly look good but I have no experience with them.

I bought myself a set of 25mm drop adjustable pegs recently (free international shipping? sold!) and while they are decently made and feel sturdy, the adjustment mechanism pushes my feet out wider by 10mm or so, which I did not like. Those Knight pegs don't seem to have that design limitation.

I know the cheap ones I picked up are garbage. They have a excellent drop at 40mm and sit back at about a 30 degree angle however they are so bulky the push your heal out about 25mms and you have to twist at the ankle to operate the clutch.

I will grab some pictures latter

Buell pegs for XB12. Paid $36 for the pair. Requires very minor grinding to fit. The shifter lever has plenty of adjustment and I simply removed the lock nut on the rear brake to get the correct adjustment. I have done this on two Y2K VFR's

Have the Knight Design pegs on my 8th gen, nicely made and were the only ones available in Dec '13 when I got the bike.

They work well with the quick shifter option.

I ended up going with the KDs. First decent ride today and they are a huge upgrade over stock.

Interested in KDs. Do they produce more vibes due to no rubbery surface than stock ones?
Did you need to adjust the brake and gear shifter?

Vibes not a problem, you do have adjust clutch & rear brake+brake light.

Is it an easy process adjusting the rear brake+light?

How Does the surface of the pegs feel? More slippery?

Buell pegs,38.00, 10 minutes to grind to fit, slight adjustment on rear brake pedal, one notch down on shifter , can't tell any diff in vibration. Much better on knees.
