i have an 86 interceptor, the chain snapped and bound up inside the front sprocket cover, it did some damage to the cover, but nothing else was broken. however now oil leaks from where the pushrod enters the mainshaft whenver the clutch is engaged. I originally thought it was a crack in the case caused by the chain. but after cleaning and inspecting, i am positive that the oil is coming from the mainshaft. I am pretty certain it is damage cause to the oil seal at the end of the shaft however i am not sure 100%. Does anyone know how to go about replacing the seal or is there another way to control this leak. both the cluctch and gears still seem to work fine. any help on this would be greatly appreciated. thanks rob. is there any place to purchase a new oil seal?

Parts should be available at the Honda Dealer.

I have heard many successful accounts of grinding away the metal in front of the seal and replacing it from the slave cylinder side.
