What do you mean 'quick throttle and it dies'?

Do you mean that if you roll the throttle on quickly, the engine dies? But it works OK if you roll it on smoothly?

Any other symptoms? Did it work fine before the Power Commander and Exhaust? When did it start doing this?

Its always done this since i bought it.. it was a frame swap build that i did .. it runs great in neutral with a quick snap at throttle and revs out fine.. put in first it runs fine .take off quick from a stop and it dies, just shuts down quick..

Could be a fuel MAP issue ... how fresh is the fuel? What's the fuel filter like? What maintenance have you done since you bought the bike?

Fuel is fresh!! Etc.. i did the flapper mod and exhaust and delted o2 but it was doing before that..like i said it raps out great in neutral but first gear if u take it quick and hard stalls immediate.. i idle warm a little over 1300 rpm ...i have no clue why its doing this just on take off from first gear. Freaking driving me nutts man.. lol

It was kinda a problem as the plug was broke but i plugged it back together. Seemed tight but i kinda wondered..u think it would be a problem allover tho just not at take off?? But i can try that.

Make sure the neutral switch is wired up (down by the clutch cover single wire by oil sight glass)

Then take the neutral switch out and make sure that it is not worn it should be a uniform shape on the nipple on the the end that goes inside the cover

I had a VTR that did exactly the same thing would rev just fine in neutral but as soon as it was put under a load it would cut out only intermittently at first then all the time after a couple of days

New switch fixed it for me

Ok i might have found a issue , it appears the 2 wires up on brake lever side where not connected at all?? Would that be a prob that would cause that at a quick take off?

Ok i think i solved the problem thanks to old threads!!! I moved my bank angle sensor as this is a streetfighter and set it sideways , so when i gas it quick ots stalling...ya reckon thats the culprit.. ? Seems to me thats it!!

Will see tomorrow and i will post back tomorrow.. im pretty sure thats it..i had no clue thats what that was..lol.. oh well im learning.

Gee that's a new one, but I would say it sounds pretty plausible for the bank angle sensor to trip the ignition when you launch hard.
