Today, I took the viffer out for a double check of the suspension and brake questions I had and tied that in with errand running. But as I walk out to jump on, it took me that I really really like this Bike.

Huh, I'll have to try the 'ol wipe the excess off with a WD laden rag trick and see how it goes.

Yes try it, you'll like it, that stuff actually works pretty damn good. if this chain was new by me I would use chain wax, but since this viffer had all ready seen the normal type of lube prior, I'll use the crystal clear by Maxima.

Nice ... still wearing my PR2's down before the trip when I try the T30 EVOs out that I bought ...

It was raining this morning and I had full intentions of taking the SUV to work, but she looked so lonely in the garage that I decided to take her to work with me today anyways ... dirty girl ... she likes getting wet ...

Took the ole girl to work, just beat the rain... Buddy turned me on to the cubitron flap discs, changed my life. I'll never use another type again, it tearssssss through metal super fast. Tough to get a hold of locally as only one place carries it, but worth it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYgH7BBJRhg

You have restored my faith in motorcycling I was beginning to worry that people actually thought that their bikes would melt/self destruct if they got wet

I ride rain hail or shine even in snow when I lived in NZ (and will again soon)

I have been scouring the NZ bike classified adds and am totally bewildered how many people state "never seen rain" in their ads

Bikes are meant to be ridden and get dirty and wet

    Good on ya Jeff

Fixed a loose wire on my Powerlet and adjusted my shifter lever and investigated why my front footpegs are drooping. Looks like I needed to replace the parts that they mount to. Ugh.

Thanks to all you guys for your post on the VFR1200
Picked up the new 2016 Vfr today and have done my first mod. I disconnected the servo wire to the exhaust flap valve
I know i would like to put a new slip on exhaust on but that's down the tract so with the exhaust valve up the note is so much better. As the bike has only competed about 20 kilometers I can truly speak about any changes to bike because of this. I remember seeing the VFR1200 back in 2010 and though how ugly but now that I really began to check out a new bike looking at the hayabusa or something like that we come across the VFR1200 and found myself changing my thoughts on it. Cant wait to get some more clicks on the clock

@Grumpy - I won't ride if there's frost, ice or snow on the highway here in Canada. That means, the bike sits without being ridden for 3 months at the longest. That said, it's not unheard of for me to take the bike out every now and again in the dead of winter provided it's a warm enough day out, and the highways are clear. :)

@Terry - Welcome aboard! Photos or it didn't happen. ;)

Cleaned chain, adjusted and lubed. I have used WD a lot of times but my all time favorite is plain old Kerosene on a rag. I have tried almost every chain lube out there and the best for me on all my bikes is DuPont chain saver by far.
And get one of these! Make a perfect application with almost no over spray in 1/2 the time. Original Honda polish on all the bikes too for a very long time.
