I recently picked up a 1983 vf750f frame and engine for free. I have several parts from bikes that I parted out.does anyone know if the carburetor from a 1982-3 v45 sabre will ft and work with the vf750f? I also have a wiring harness from a vf1000f - would this be compatible. Any input would be great.
    Thanks
    Arnold

Don't think so, engines look to be at totally different angles, front two cylinders are almost horizontal on the sabre/magna engine.

So I did a little research and it appears the engines are placed at different angles in the bike but the 90 degree angle between the two cylinder heads remain constant. I took the sabre carbs to my vf750f and it appears they would fit but the airbox is too wide. I switched the airbox with one from a vf750f and it fits like a glove. Now all I have to do is switch out he jets and I think I'm good to go. Anyways if anyone is looking for 1982 Sabre 750 parts, I'm in the process of parting one out.
