Guys, I need to replace chain and sprockets. I found this deal on ebay ...

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170652081381?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

but seems too good to be true - a hundred quid compared to 130 everywhere else. It seems a bit cheap but it is guaranteed for 15, 000 miles. Should I get it or can someone recommend a decent deal on a kit?

And I've seen guys recommending going for +2 teeth on the rear, what are the pros and cons of doing this?

Also, can anyone recommend a good rivet tool?

    Cheers, Andy

That's a good chain and sprocket.

I have ran that chain myself and would definitely buy it again DID is the primary OEM manufacturer of chains and sprockets for most bikes. :)

I'm leaving my gearing alone since I ride a lot of highways. If you spend a lot of time in the city, then you might want to change the # of teeth, but if you ride the highway a lot (110 kph+) then I wouldn't touch it.

Rivet tool is a rivet tool. It's not really a precision tool ... any one will do.

Changing gearing is a personal thing.
Some people like the way behaves at lower revs.
I've gone +2 on the rear, I had -1 on the front before (which is the equivalent of +3 on the rear), but found the chain a bit noisier and not as smooth. The chain tends to rub on the rubber chain guide more this way.
I don't ever commute, just do the twisters and long trips solo and two up.
I like the better response through the gears, and the not so tall first gear. Specially two up.
I don't have a problem at highway speeds, it will still do 225km/h. Can't say I go there often.
Personally, I wouldn't go back. I love it this way.
Just keep in mind that your speedo will be out, you might need a speedo healer to fix it.
    I've never bothered.
Always buy the best chain you can afford. I have an RK gold X'ring chain which is 35000kms, old and I've only had to adjust once.
