I've followed a thread here that outlined a GSXR mirror install on a VFR. What about Blackbird mirrors? A Cycle Canada article a few months back showcased a '99 VFR, and the owner had the stock signal lights filled, and Aprillia mirrors replaced the stock items. Looked great, but can it be done with 1100xx parts? Randall Beck
Well of course.. Of course it CAN be done..and indeed seems like a natural thing to do, since the 4th Gen is styled after the fabulous sexiness that is the NR750 which has the mirrors which ended up on the Blackie. But..the angle of the fairing at the mounting points is so different that you either have VERY narrow views of your elbows and severely canted mirrors or you manufacture spacers to fit under the mirror arms which move the angle forwards.. your choice..out: Rod
Got both of those bikes parked in the garage, and definitely the angle of the dangle is way too far off to make them work (without being totally kobb of course) Too bad, cuz the bird has VERY sexy mirrors.
The GSXR mirrors look fine on the 6th gen and would work the same way on the 5th. The Aprilia's look great IMHO but forget about seeing anything behind you.
