It never ends, but 'the list' is looking pretty much finished... pretty much...

So far, the bike has had about £1500 out of me on goodies (with my staff discount):

    • R&G crash bungs.
    • R&G bar ends.
    • MRA Vario touring screen.
    • Denali soundbomb super-loud horn.
    • Genmar handlebar risers.
    • STOMP grip pads to sides of tank.
    • Delkevic carbon silencer (which sounds fantastic).
    • Puig adjustable levers.
    • swingarm crash sliders.
    • front fork crash sliders.
    • Oxford heated grips.
    • Many upgraded stainless steel or OEM replacement bolts and fixings
    • Optimate charging lead
    • OSRAM nightbreaker headlight bulbs.
    • New EBC brake disks to front
    • Pilot Road 4 tyres
    • USB charging system
    • Tsubaki heavy-Duty chain & sprockets

    And yet, there's still:
    • OEM Honda tank pad
    • OEM screen
    • Raise handlebars (either: A> Helibars (expensive) B> Deauville top yoke & renthal bars (IF it works) or C> Drill holes and fit risers with Renthal bars)

I'm far past the point of breaking-even on expenditure vs likely sale price, but sod it. I want to have a nice bike, and i'm probably only keeping it until this time next year anyway if i can't solve the comfort issue (i need to be more upright) - If i can't; I'll be getting a Tiger 800 or maybe a Tiger 1050 sport if i can get one for £5k or there abouts.

If you really want some bad ass adjustable bars with serious height capabilities ... look up Converti-Bars.

I had some on my wrecked '02 and they were the best things ever. They are expensive, but well worth the money. I had to opt for a used set of Heli-Bars in my new bike for the time being until I could secretly save up the cash to get some new Converti-Bars.

    If i could either:

    A> Find some used helibars

    Or:

B> Find some kind of solid proof/denial that a specific year of Deauville top yoke will/won't fit my 5th gen.
Then if a positive> Buy a used top yoke for less than £30, get it coated, then get some Renthals on there.

B is the ideal. Same outcome, less than a quarter of the price, and totally reversible.
