New from Ballston Lake NY. 56 years old. My last street bike was a 1984 VF750F bought new. I traded it in for a CR250 in 1988 and have been in the dirt since. Last October I bought a 1986 VFR700, cleaned up nice, put 1500 miles on it and put it away for the winter. Started it up last week and small drops of gas dripping. I think it may be o rings at tranfer tubes any thougths.
This weekend I am going to New Hampshire to look at a 2006 VFR with 13000 miles, hard luggage for $5600 original owner bike is mint. I got the bug to get back on the street with the 86 vfr and now am going to buy a 2006-2008 VFR within 2-3 weeks.

Posted pics of bikes I have now. Will post pics of the new VFR soon.

It's probably the o-rings on the fuel distribution tubes ... if it is coming from there, run it a few more times and they'll probably swell up again and stop leaking.

I found the leak. It is the float bowl gasket on the back left carb. I ran it off and on last night. Seems to be leaking less. Looks like it should swell up. will try again tonight.

Looking forward to checking out the 06 this weekend. Even the color I want, white. I also like the fact that it is original owner. Should be worth the 150 mile trip. Either way I will be on a 06 or newer shortly.

Cool! Keep us updated ... on the 6th gen note - that what I'm riding (a 2002 that I picked up at the end of August with only 9,800 km's). My previous bike to that was also an '02 6th gen VFR. :)

After looking in 4 states I found this 2004 with 4200 miles, never dropped, in showroom condition for $5200. New tires and battery. I put 1000 miles on it last week. The wire harness recall was not done. I took it to a Honda dealer and they are doing the work next weekend.
Incredible machine. The 86 is a nice bike but this one is in a different class.

Anyone have hard luggage for sale.
