Baglux Bagster for VFR800FI, 5TH Gen, Doooh! Think I got one for 750 : (

As the title mentions, I purchased a used Baglux Bagster Tank Bag and matching bag on eBay. It is item number 111950012990. It's in overall pretty good shape only having damage to a button that could be easily repaired, I think (assume).

Anyway, trying a test fit on the 6th gen, just sitting it there it was way too small; however, the tank hole matched up. Oh well, Sybil (the 6th) is a bit portly; so onto the 5th! Ahhhhh, still too small. I then decide to look at pics online; thanks google images OMG! It appears to be for a 4th or 3rd generation and not my beloved 5th. One can easily tell by the pull strap location and shape of the knee padding.

Can anyone verify this for me as well? I'd just like a second opinion. I kinda wish it was just operator or installer error or just freaking out for no reason. Thanks.

 

Oh yeah. I do not like the way the Top Sellerie variety looks, but I'm thinking the bag (bag for which to stow your gear) that came in the auction will fit the Top Sellerie. Since I'm getting the bike painted, should I try and match paint to the bag or just go original? I've seen some shots of the red variety; they stick out a bit more. The black and funny muted green look the best IMHO. Thanks again.

That's the same pic I got off this site that I sent you. LOL. You just don't know how I wanted it TOO FIT.

Notice the large gaps and the lack of a bag strap not being attached. But I do get it, even though for a 750 obviously, if it fits per your view, that's fine; it just didn't make it for me. Now I wish I could get the proper bag and then purchase the bag (er bra) from you. I'd resell the bra (bag whatever).

I purchased a set of two for the VTEC. Color awful but fitment better, bag I'm getting used to and its few forms (red and black tank bra (bag) and a red/black actual bag. Anyway, I don't wanna start anything. Like I said, if I could get the proper Baglux and had funds to make the purchase, I'd hope that top bag (or set) would still be available.
