    Greetings!
I'm new to the site, I'll be picking up my new 2014 white Interceptor tomorrow so I have no photos to share.

I've been riding on the streets since 2003 when I purchased my 2002 Triumph Sprint ST, A terrific sport tourer. I've put 65000 miles on her and crashed and rebuilt her so she's getting tired. My great passion for riding is doing long tours to visit National parks and camping along the way. The last two trips I attempted were foiled by bike breakdowns. No longer having the faith in my once trusty Triumph, it was time to move on. I'm very excited to put in a lot of miles this summer and rediscover the passion for riding. In addition to the new VFR I have a 06 Triumph Daytona 675 which I mostly do track days on.

I plan on basically keeping the new VFR stock, but intend to get the factory hard bags. I also need to add a power outlet for the heated gear which greatly extends the riding season here in the Great North Wet... I mean West. I also need to wire up the trusty GPS so I can find my way around. any tips on those modifications are welcome.

I look forward to learning from you all and contributing to the site.

    Dan

Sweet, good to have you on board and in Seattle to boot , Nice. If you can and the weather is ok , check out Hinshaws on May 4th, from what I've gathered a few here may be there.

    Hi Blakebirk!

The Daytona + VFR is a formula I have seen around here before. Seems to work well for some of you!

Sorry to hear some of your trips were cancelled from the breakdowns.

Welcome to the VFR. I started riding at age 43 in 2014 and the VFR is my first bike. It is awesome

Hi Dan and welcome to the madhouse:welcome:.

As you can see the folks are looking forward to seeing a photo of your new VFR when you manage to collect it.

If you missed out on long trips last year - you could do better than take the VFR for a shake-down run to this years R3 meet - if so will see you there!

    Take care

You've got my dream setup man, love the datyona but I can't justify dropping 6 grand on another bike.

As for the mods you're talking about, I'd suggest getting a powerlet socket to run heated gear as well as charge a phone to run GPS. You could see if powerlet has a steering stem socket for the 8th gen, but I think you're better off having a pro cut a hole in the fairing and mounting it there on the left side, as it should make it easier to route the wires. You could mount the phone with a RAM mount near the socket and that will take care of your GPS for 1/5 the price of a dedicated unit.

    Thanks for the warm welcome.
Got her here this morning on the trailer, unloaded and went out for a little ride, I'm really liking this bike. Here are some photos as demanded.

Another really good looking white VFR - take care of her!

It sounds like you already have a ride buddy nearby - so maybe see you both at R3 next month.

    Enjoy
