I have a 86 VF 500 f and for the life of me I can't seem to find the banjo bolt that goes to the clutch Slave cylinder. I think I accidentally kicked it under the work bench. Can someone tell me the pitch? I have a couple different banjos extra from other projects but am hesitant about screwing them in unless I know they are the right size. Neither of the ones I have fit perfectly but one does fit easier than the other. Would just rather be sure before I add some elbow grease to the bolt

    The bolt is a 10x22 and I'm pretty sure it's a 1.25 thread pitch.

I used my Pitch Gauge to get 1.25mm Thread Pitch.
eBay has copper Crush washers available by the bag (got a bunch).

All M10 threads on Honda motorcycles of the modern era are 1.25 pitch...except for certain ones inside the forks and (for some strange reason) caliper pin threads, which are M10 x 1.0. Both of these are "fine" pitch, so not the standard pitch (1.5) you will find at Lowes, etc.

M8, M6, M4 threads are all "standard" pitch on Hondas, so it's much easier to find these. I use eBay for fasteners anyway, and there you can get whatever thread and head you want...

Thanks gang. Funny, as soon as I sent this message I had a brilliant idea. I pulled the banjo from the clutch fluid reservoir compared it to my extra one and then just used the clutch fluid reservoir banjo on the slave and used my extra on the clutch master. Perfection. No I just have to bleed the system.

most of my spare parts are all Japenese with a few exceptions of some Ducati stuff. Always good too have extras around. 10 years from now I will find that bolt and go "Sum bitch there you are"
