So I popped my first wheelie today....

It was completely on accident. I was riding two up with my gf and we had just stopped at s yield sign. She taped me and told me she had to pee, so I decided to give it a bit of pepper. I pulled out and was in 2nd gear in the vtec. No clutch, straight power wheelie at about 8k. She lifted about 3-4 inches It surprised , but I didn't flip out because my last bike was a gsxr 1000. I powered up a lot. I didn't think the old girl could do it though seeing as I'm quite a large 250 lbs dude. I only thought this bike could clutch up, and with difficulty at that... Anyway just sharing a fun experience.

 

I bet she no longer needed to pee

 

Did you check to see if she was still on the bike?

 

the poor suspension, you were pushing the limits of gvw. you did'nt get wacked on the back of your helmet?

 

I dont think she noticed until I started flailing my left arm wildly trying to explain that had just happened

 

I always figured a passenger would make it easier to lift the front wheel. Thanks for doing the experiment!

 

Without a heads up, glad she didn't flip off the back....lucky.

Was it like this BMW rider that pulled up in front of us at an intersection yesterday then pulling this poorly executed wheelie with his girl on the back ?
