Awesome! So glad you have a good sense of humor!

What you do have is a very cool bike. And that's the reason we are all here.
We will be glad to give any advice and answers we can.

A team has been dispatched to confiscate said "sand colored covers"

Those were discovered missing from Honda R&D Black Projects in early 1987.

The engineers concluded those particular covers produced power numbers
deemed unsafe for even race bikes at the time.

They were not intended for sale to the public.

Covers must be magical! I have read all the threads where guys have spent a lot of time and money just to eek out a few more horsepower on the dyno, if they only knew about those covers!

I think my black scooter may be able to manage 180 mph but doubt that the red scooter would get even close.

Top speed is essentially a function of raw horsepower. I honestly don't even think an RC30 with the full HRC racing kit could have done 180. To put it in perspective, modern superbikes that top 180 MPH are ones like the BMW S1000RR, a bike with literally 50% more horsepower than a heavily modified 6th gen (being generous giving the 6th gen 120 HP) that weighs significantly less.

If you're going to tell a bs story, at least make it plausible. We weren't born yesterday.

One VFR that might top oot at 180mph. Is TC's blower bike.. There may be a VFR engined rig that is that fast in the Bonneville records.

Ah the '80's. Brings me back to my 1982 Yamaha Vision. I used to picture it doing 180, off a cliff..

It's just the way he is, consistently, and all to the good of humanity in his modest way. :courage:

Cows give milk naturally; and BB gives irony, sarcasm and native wisdom. More gents like him here would shut down our website utterly and irrevocably due to radical over-intellegence and smirkyness, i do believe.
