Truly impressive guys, the longest trip in one go is "only" 650km, tho this was not on a VFR but on a BMW one sylinder 650.. I have heard many great things about the VFR, riding comfort being one of the. Im excited to get my bike out of the garage now :cool-new:

I once did 1400km (870m) in 12hrs (1987) & only stopped 5 times driving through the night across europe staying off the motorways to keep awake. This was on a Kawasaki Gpx600r....
It was fun, but a tough ride..
Not sure I'd want to do it now.

:uncomfortableness: Hoping that a comma was missing. :jaw:

Longest ride was a little over 800 miles leaving on Friday and coming back home Sunday. Longest ride in a day was about 275 miles. That was with stock seat and stock bars, I was DONE by the end of the day. Arse and wrists were screaming. I don't know how you guys are doing 400+ mile days.

This should be simple for you. Just ride only on roads where there is no one else around to throw things, rocks, bricks and the like, at you as you ride by.

Longest run was from Rico CO to OC, 865 miles with stops to fuel and eat. Started the day at 35 degrees, got hit by 3 storms, heavy cross winds and by the time I crossed into CA the temperature was 106 degrees in Neddles.
Longest ride was 6K miles with three days in a row of 500 miles plus.

Ya, that made me remember, not only on that day I rode my pants off for 13 hours, but when back home showered up had a great meal, all relaxed up. I took one of the kids for a ride down to the local fair that was going on that evening. That was like only two hours from getting back. Crazy how cool these VFRs are huh.

Riding home from Chico to Seattle, took 36 over to Eureka, then some highway in OR back over to I-5, then some other highway back over to 101, then up to the 104 cutover to Portland and up to Seattle. I didn't run an odometer, but it was right around 1000 miles in about 16 or 17 hours. My back was screwed up for about a week, but other than that I was fine. There's no way I could do it now as my knees start to get achey after 400 or 500 miles.

Furthest I have done in a day was 627 miles. Longest trip I've done was just shy of 1280 miles. I wish the VFR had cruise control and a bigger tank for endurance. It's a great touring bike. More comfortable than my ST1300.

I had thought that I would like a larger tank to accomodate fewer stops but now I like ot as is. Other than when doing an Iron Butt attempt, the time in saddle per tank is just about perfect for me to get off the bike, do a walk about, and stretch the back. That really helps with the aches and pains.

Longest single session in the saddle was 605 miles with the wife on the back. Just a day ride around Washington state and back home. Only stopped for gas and a bite to eat.

Longest trip was 4000 miles through Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, and Utah over 14 days. Didn't have to push each day too much. Tried to keep it under 300 miles a day so the wife would be happy. She likes to ride with me. Trying to keep it that way.

When planning my trips I usually figure about 500 miles a day. I can do that with a few breaks and with not much stress. I have wanted to try an Iron Butt 1000 mile ride in 24 hours but that seems a bit much. My longest day on the VFR is 500. My longest day ever is 650.

I really want to do an iron butt but the wife has said she will not do that. Trying to get the nerve to plan it out and give it a go.
