One night I was driving home on a highway with no lights and realized that the stock light aren't that great, I know some riders here just fit one of those hid conversation kits ( hid bulb and a ballast) but the problem with that is it doesn't have a sharp cut off like a hid projector has and it tends to blind incoming drivers. So I've decided to try to fit the hid projectors in.
I bought the kit on ebay for about $80(2 inch hid projectors ).The installation process was pretty easy, after baking the headlight assembly it took about 10min to finish. My plan is to wire the lights to a switch (instead of having the lights automatically come on when the ignition is turned on )
    Here's some pics

Those look pretty good ... interested to see what the light pattern looks like outside in the dark.

Every bike I've tried this on (ok, only 2) it seems like the headlight assembly isn't rigid enough to prevent noticeable bounce and jitter due to the added weight of the lens assemblies.

I had that problem with a friends Civic many... many years ago. We cut up some bits of lexan and wedged them behind the lens assembly then used some special glue to shore it all up. Unless you knew what you were looking for, it was impossible to tell that we hacked them in after the fact.

The reason the light pattern isn't straight is because the bike is on the kick stand also you can adjust the beam on the top blub not the bottom(can't move up/down but can move side to side) uploadfromtaptalk1459976712134.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1459976809196.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1459976821652.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1459976845509.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1459976868139.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1459976951944.jpg

Looks good, how is it riding at night compared to stock? Beam pattern width, cut off, brightness, high and low beam?

I rode a couple of night and didn't notice any headlight shakes ,I have a manual switch for high beam also I can't really compare with stock lights because I did this mod in the winter when I bought my bike
