002.jpg 003.jpg 004.jpg 005.jpg 006.jpg 008.jpg 009.jpg Hello everyone. Just checking in after registering on the site. Bought my first VFR about 3 hours ago after lusting over them for years. I found an 07 Anniversary Edition that is showroom flawless with only 3810 miles, and I just couldn't pass it up. The bike is all stock with no ABS, and there is literally not a scratch or dent anywhere to be found. My previous bike was a 91 model 750 Nighthawk and I loved it dearly, but after passing that one on to my son I wanted something with a little more style and grunt. It's been about 2 years since I rode daily, so I plan to treat this beauty with a great deal of respect until I get better acclimated to it.

I will post up pictures tomorrow, as it was dark outside by the time I got her home. I'm looking forward to a new phase of motorcycling, and I hope that the lovely Red, White, & Blue VFR lives at my house for a long time to come.

Pictures posted above. Took her out in town today. Stayed out long enough that I got caught after dark with only a smoke shield on my helmet. Not being accustomed to a more sportbike seating position, I found that leaning into the turns seemed a bit odd at first. Again, it has also been a couple years since I've ridden regularly, but it didn't take long to gain confidence in the bike and just go with it. Unlike the old Nighthawk, I found quickly that cruising down the main drag at 50mph in 5th gear is not going to work with this bike. Seems like the engine really WANTS to be run at higher RPM's. I was in city traffic the whole time, so I couldn't stretch the throttle any but the bike seems like it can make it up to a fast run quickly and easily. From just an hour or so of riding I can tell she's going to be everything I expected and more. I'm hoping this bike is going to help teach me to be a better rider. I can tell you I'm already a much happier one.
