The fact that this bike went under water in 2013 and it had water in one cylinder, amazes me the piston was able to move at all, I had to get the piston out of a motor mower that had had water in it, took 10 tons in the press before it started to move

Have you pulled the sump plug to see how much water is in there?

And as for parts, that is going to be tough, scratching through ebay is probably the only option

Well I picked up a 1984 as a parts bike I still want to rebuild the original motor someday. Because my parts bike is a 700 I will use the motor for now. I started to take it down to the frame so I can get it powder coated.

The rear tail section was full of mouse crap and chewed up wires. The mud is just everywhere so much cleaning to do

Pretty sure that's California parts. Not on my 84 750.

Is the VIN number still readable on the frame?

Regarding the question of "is this a California bike"? Doesn't Honda put a "1" in the 8th digit of the VIN code number to indicate a California bike? For the remaining "49 state" bikes the 8th digit of the VIN code number is a "0".

So for your V45 Interceptor the VIN would read either "RC150" or "RC151" in digits 4 through 8.

(Since I'm pretty new here, correct me if I'm wrong)

Got the carbs off one of the intakes was really bad.

The other side was nearly as bad.

The carbs was nasty too. [IMG]

It's almost ready for sand blasting and new powder coat.
