if your regulator is getting 64V AC in and putting 12.1 DC out, I'd say time to go shopping.

    Stop asking, take action.

If the Ricks is still in a warranty period, I'd explore return procedure.

A fully charged battery will start to boil over almost instantly at 17 volts, are you saying you have 19 volts at the battery?

Toe, not at the battery. Stator puts out 15-19v on each leg at idle and up to 60+ at higher rpm's. The battery never gives more than 12.1v running. I talked to a tech and he confirmed the r/r is a dud. I'm going to get a replacement. Thanks to everyone for helping.

Every time I see a post about this I stick my head in the sand and hope I have no issues this year with my 2002 with about 80,000 Km. I really have to read that thread and do some checking...... I really should....... shouldn't I.

Sticking a voltmeter on your bike might be more useful than sticking your head in the sand. Just saying...

At least with a voltmeter fitted you get some warning something isn't right so you don't have to push it home
